Section 67 of UP revenue code 2006 power to prevent damages, misappropriation and wrongful occupation of Panchayat properties.
Explanation of 67 of up land Revenue Code 2006, the word “land” shall include the trees and building standing thereon.
Information to assistant collector of wrongful occupation damage of Gram Panchayat properties
- Any property of a gram panchayat or other local authority is damage or misappropriates.
- Where any Gram Panchayat or other authority is entitle to take position of any land under the provision of the code.

Show cause notice of damages, wrongful occupation of Gram panchayat properties by SDM
- Section 67 (2) state that information received under sub class 1 or otherwise.
- The assistant collector is satisfies that any property refer to in sub section 1 has been damage or misappropriates.
- Any person is in the occupation of any land refer to in that sub section in contravention of this provision of this code.
- He shall issue notice to the person concerned to show cause.
- Why compensation for damage, wrongful occupation, misappropriates not exceeding the amount specified in the notice.
- Why not recover from him and why he should not be evict from such land.
- The amount of damages are compensation recovered under section 67 shall be credited to the consolidated village fund Section 68.
Fails to show cause notice response with in the time specified in the notice
- If the person to whom a notice has been issued under sub section 2 fails to show cause within the time specified in notice.
- Within such extends time as the assistant collector may allows in his behalf.
- If the cause shown is found to be insufficient the assistant collector may direct that such person shall be evict from the land.
- And may, for that purpose, use or cause to be use such force as may be necessary.
- And may direct that the amount of compensation for damages or misappropriation of the property or for wrongful occupation.
- As the case may be recovers from such person as arrears of land revenue.
Discharge of show cause notice by assistant collector up Revenue Code
Section 67 (4) of the up land Revenue Code 2006, if the assistant collector is of the opinion that the person showing cause is not guilty.
Not guilty of causing the damage or misapropriation or wrongful occupation referred to in the notice under sub section 2, he shall discharge the notice.
Appeal against assistant collector order up Land Revenue Code
Any person aggrieved by an order of the assistant collector under sub section 3 or 4 of section 67 of up land Revenue Code 2006.
Person may within 30 days from the date of the such order prefer an appeal to the collector.
Sub Section 6 of section 67 of up land Revenue Code 2006, subject to the provisions of sub section 5 of this section 67, be final.
